                        CBSE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR ‘SINGLE GIRL CHILD’ IN SCHOOLS

 

The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi invites Offer Of Acceptance from eligible single girl students who are the only child of their parents for the following scholarship schemes on the basis of examinations conducted by the Board in the year 2006.

  

CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for +2

 

Eligibility: (i) Score of 60% or more marks in Class X, 2006 examinations conducted by the CBSE, and

 

(ii) Currently studying in CBSE affiliated schools where the tuition fee was not more than Rs.1000/- per month during the year 2005-2006.

 

Value: Rs.500/- per month

 

 

Duration: Two years subject to renewal on year to year basis.

 

CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Professional Courses

 

Eligibility: (i) Rank in the merit list of AIPMT/AIEEE 2006 conducted by the CBSE, and

 

 

(ii) Pursuing professional course in medicine/ engineering in any Central University/Institution controlled or aided by Central Government.

 

 Value: Rs.1000/- per month.

 

 

Duration: Four years subject to renewal on year to year basis.

 

CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Under-graduate studies

 

Eligibility: (i) Score of 60% or more marks in Class XII, 2006 examinations conducted by the CBSE, and

 

(ii) Pursuing under graduate course (non-medical/non-engineering) in any Central/State Government University or those recognized by UGC.

 

Value: Rs.500/- per month.

 

 

Duration: Three years subject to renewal on year to year basis.

 

      

 

·                      Single Girl Children satisfying above criterion may send their duly filled in ‘Offer of Acceptance’ for respective scholarship along with required documents so as to reach the office of the Secretary CBSE, Shiksha Kendra, 2, Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi-92 latest by 15th July 2006.  Offers received in the Board’s office within the time frame and complete in all respects will only be considered for award of scholarships.  Mere submission of requisite information will not entitle for the award of the scholarship.  The decision of the Board in this regard shall be final.  For further details, Board’s website www.cbse.nic.in may be referred to.
